One&Only Guest’s Nest has 14 rooms and seven suites, all with panoramic views and treehouse feel about them. The wooden terraces, which allow guests to take in the rainforest without other being able to look in, are undoubtedly a highlight.
On a Rwanda safari that is likely to have a jam-packed itinerary, this private space is incredible appreciated. Dining at One&Only Gorilla’s Nest
The main restaurant, Nest, has both a cosy indoor area and an outdoor terrace that overlooks the forest, and make for a gorgeous lunch. Menus are contemporary twist on Rwanda flavors featuring plenty of local fruits, herbs and vegetables hand-picked from the property’s organic gardens. There are regular barbecues where guests can experience traditional Rwandan dishes, and if you are trekking you will be given a packed lunch to keep you energized.
Don’t miss the Boma experience, with performances by a local dance troupe around the fire –you will likely get pulled up to participate if you are sat near the front, but it is a special experience to have during your stay.
The restaurant’s staff is focused on guest experience, they remember what your order, will bring you a blanket if you look chilly and are only too happy to walk passionately about dish options if you need some assistance. After a long day.
