Continue to Samburu National Reserve – home to leopards, Lake Naivasha – a fresh water lake with several bird species. A day trip to Lake Nakuru National Park – home to the flamingoes, pelicans and the endangered Rhinos and to Hells Gate National Park for a time to walk and cycle among the wildlife.

DETAILED ITINERARY OF 21 DAYS EXPLORE KENYA SAFARI

DAY 1 – ARRIVAL IN NAIROBI 

On arrival in Kenya at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and transfer you to your hotel in Nairobi.

DAY 2 – DISCOVER NAIROBI

Explore Nairobi City

Nairobi provides some of the best activities for a day visit, for wildlife sanctuaries to museums or craft markets to cultural experience. It is not possible to engage in all these activities, a few will be chosen today.

Start with a visit to the Karen Blixen Museum which is a set at the foot of the Ngong Hills to learn about her works and time when she lived in Kenya, then head to the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage to watch a baby elephant play in the mud and feed. Then proceed to the Giraffe Center for an experience feeding the giraffe up close and or even a giraffe kiss, the centre serves as a refuge of the endangered Rothchild’s giraffe. The tour will end with a visit to a craft centre where women make beautiful crafts and ceramic work.

DAY 3 – TRANSFER TO OL PEJETA 

After breakfast, start the drive to the beautiful Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Enjoy the views of nature as you drive to this place with a stopover at the Equator monument for photos and souvenir shopping. Take an evening walk after checking-in and or relax at the lodge.

DAY 4 & 5 – GAME DRIVE AND CHIMPANZEE EXPERIENCE 

Have a game drive in the morning, enjoy watching the different animals in this beautiful nature habitat. Experience the behind the scenes at the Chimpanzee Sanctuary learning about these chimpanzees and their life. Ol Pejeta Conservancy is an amazing conservation project aimed at providing a sanctuary for primates especially chimpanzees, rhinos and generate incomes through tourism.

DAY 6 – TRANSFER TO SAMBURU 

Depart for Samburu National Reserve in the north. On arrival, have lunch and go on an afternoon game drive. Look out for the African leopard, giraffes, lions, elephants, cape buffaloes, impalas, waterbucks, warthogs, Grant’s gazelles, olive baboons and different species of birds.

DAY 7 – GAME DRIVE 

Spend the day on a game drive in Samburu National Reserve, the game drives will give you an opportunity to lookout for wildlife such as the Big Five – lions, leopards, buffaloes, rhinos and elephants, zebras, Beisa Oryx, Somali Ostich, giraffes, waterbucks among others and sightings of beautiful landscapes sightings.

Return to lodge later in the evening and enjoy a glass of wine over dinner as you reminisce on the day’s sightings.

DAY 8 – TRANSFER TO LAKE NAIVASHA 

Depart Samburu this morning and transfer to Lake Naivasha situated in the Rift Valley Region, enjoy the beautiful scenery of the region and later check in to your lodge. In the afternoon, explore Lake Naivasha with a boat ride and later a short nature walk as you relish the gift of nature.

DAY 9 – DAY TRIP TO LAKE NAKURU 

Enjoy early breakfast then depart for Lake Nakuru with packed lunch and have a full day tour of the park, you visit the lake which turns pink due to high flocks of great and lesser flamingoes hence it is dubbed the pink Lake.

Lake Nakuru is home to the endangered black and white rhino, the big cats and other wildlife except the elephants.

DAY 10 – DAY TRIP TO HELLS GATE 

Transfer to Hells Gate National Park and explore the park on a nature walk or cycling safari. Enjoy the different wildlife and landscape as you explore this scenic park with scenery right out of the lion king. Visit the geothermal plants and enjoy a swim.

Visit the Masai community located in the park learn about the Maasai tribe and also contribute to its preservation.

DAY 11 – TRANSFER TO MAASAI MARA 

Transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Depending on the stopovers enroute, you will arrive in the reserve in time for lunch at your lodge. Check in, relax and prepare to take on an afternoon game drive in this magnificent reserve which is home to a wide variety of wildlife.

Drive time – 5 hours OR  Schedule flight time –  45 minutes

DAY 12 & 13 – EXPLORE MAASAI MARA 

Spend two days exploring the iconic Masai Mara Game Reserve on game drives.

The game drives takes us in search of Africa’s big five and other wildlife inhabiting this vast game reserve. You will also have an option for a cultural visit to a Maasai village and a balloon safari to enjoy aerial views of the park’s endless plains and animals.

During the migration season, enjoy view of the large wildebeest columns and other wildlife such as zebras and gazelles migrating and crossing the river as the crocodiles target them for a meal.

DAY 14 – TRANSFER TO AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK 

After breakfast, you will take a morning flight from Masai Mara to Nairobi where you will be transferred by road to Amboseli.

Arrive in the park in time for lunch and later embark on a late afternoon tour of the park.

Day 15 – EXPLORE AMBOSELI 

Spend full day exploring Amboseli National Park known for its large elephant herds and views of the beautiful Mount Kilimanjaro across the border in Tanzania, depending on the season of the travel, Lake Amboseli might have water or be dry. Enjoy sightings of large herds of elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes and many beautiful birds.

DAY 16 – TRANSFER TO DIANI BEACH

Depart the lodge for Diani Beach with lunch en route, arrive in the afternoon and check in at the lodge where you will spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure in the resort with an option of engaging in water sports at your own cost.

Drive time – 7 hours OR Schedule Flight – 1 hour

DAY – 17 – 20 DIANI BEACH

Spend these days at leisure at Diani Beach with an option of engaging in water sports at your own cost. Diani Beach has been voted many times as one of the best beaches in Africa, with flawless long stretch of white sand hugged by lush forest and kissed by surfable waves which makes Diani Beach a very popular beach destination.

DAY 21 – TRANSFER TO NAIROBI | DEPARTURE
