Detailed itinerary of 3 days Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara safari
DAY 1: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park
As early as 06:00 am, you will be picked from your hotel in Nairobi and depart Nairobi for Lake Nakuru national park- a small but scenic national park, along the way you will enjoy splendid landscape and the country side. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge after checking in, then go for an afternoon game drive exploring the park, during the game drive expect to see abundant wildlife including flamingoes, rhinos, lions, leopards, hyenas and array of antelopes such as impalas, gazelles, Rothschild Giraffe, waterbucks and dik diks (small-sized antelopes found almost exclusively in East Africa).
You will also visit the Lake Nakuru for sights of amazing populations of flamingoes which is the highlight of the safari, flamingoes are attracted to the lake by the abundant supply of green algae in the soda rich waters of the lake. After the game drive you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Park
After breakfast, you will depart Lake Nakuru national park for Maasai Mara national reserve, on a drive of 6 hours you will drive through the floors of the Great Rift Valley and western escarpments which were formed over centuries ago as a result of the natural shifting of the earth’s tectonic plates. You will arrive in time for lunch and in the afternoon you will proceed to the reserve for a game drive in the plains of Maasai Mara – the gem of African Wilderness, during the game drive you will enjoy views of the rolling hills and the open plains of the eastern end of the park giving you an opportunity to capture nature sights and see a number of game such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, cape buffaloes, zebras, giraffes among others in their natural habitat among others.
Dinner and Overnight at Mara Sentrim

DAY 3: Masai Mara – Nairobi
Wake up as early as 06:00 am for a cup of coffee and head to the reserve for an early morning game drive giving you an opportunity to watch the activity of the nocturnal and semi-nocturnal animals that are rarely seen during the scotching heat of the day. Then head back to your lodge for breakfast, check out and bid farewell to Maasai Mara national reserve heading back to Nairobi.
