Detailed itinerary of 8 Days Great Migration Luxury Safari
Days 1-2: Nairobi
On arrival in Nairobi at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide and be transferred to your accommodation for an evening of relaxation. If you arrive early, you will go for a tour discovering the beauty of Nairobi City, you will visit the Nairobi National Park for a private game viewing safari enjoying sights of various animals including lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, giraffes, zebras and many colorful birds.
Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Accommodation: Hemingways Nairobi Hotel
Hemingways Hotel is a boutique hotel set between the Ngong Hills and Jamhuri Park, the hotel is far removed from the bustle of the capital. The hotel offers excellent service and delicious food and comfortable high-class accommodation in its 45 lofty rooms furnished in a classic style with vaulted ceilings and balconies that are complemented by exposed timber, cotton drapes and neutral tones.
Days 2-5: Maasai Mara
Spend time exploring the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. During the migration season, you will watch thousands of wildebeest thunder across the plains and across rivers creating not just an incredible sight but an awe-inspiring sound.
Your guides and trackers will drive you daily into the reserve and position you at the best vantage points for the infamous Mara River crossing and wildlife action.
Alternatively, you can conquer the sky on hot air balloon safari, on this incredible experience you will appreciate Masai Mara’s scale and gain a unique bird’s eye view of the game below.
Accommodation: Sala’s Camp
Sala’s Camp is a luxury camp nestled in the Maasai Mara National Park but in a very remote southern-central corner of it on the tranquil banks of the Sand River. Sala’s boasts the most private of safari experiences within the reserve’s borders. The camp features 11 tents including two family tents and two honeymoon tents, all feature private plunge pools and en-suite bathrooms with hot showers, running water and flushing loos.
