10 Days Best Of The Northern Tanzania Safari
This 10 Days Best of the Northern Tanzania is a perfect Tanzania safari into the Northern Safari Circuit, the Northern Parks selected will give you the intrepid safari enthusiast a great insight to some exciting wildlife waiting to be discovered. These include Arusha National Park with a great variety of activities including walking safaris and easy paced canoeing safaris, all the shadows of Mt. Meru. Tarangire National Park – famous for its great biodiversity and big herds of elephants that mass during the dry season, take in the daily lifestyle of the Maasai of Esilalei and get a better understanding of an ancient culture.
The next destination is Lake Manyara National Park with large populations of primates and the rare tree climbing lions, Serengeti National Park for a few days of game viewing and optional hot air balloon safari, flight over the endless plains. Then head to Ngorongoro Crater – home to the last black rhinos and many other animals.

Detailed itinerary of 10 Days Best of The Northern Tanzania Safari
Day 1: Arrival Kilimanjaro Airport- Transfer To Arusha
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and transfer to your hotel in Arusha for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Arusha National Park
After breakfast, drive to Arusha National Park where you will head out on a walking safari with an armed ranger, walk through open plains and the lower slopes of Mt. Meru over to waterfalls. Get a different perspective of viewing wildlife from the ground level, also there are good chances of seeing black and white colobus monkeys.
Optional: afternoon canoeing safari on the Little Momela Lake- gives you a great opportunity to approach wildlife as they drink and wallow in the shallows.
Continue with afternoon game drive before heading back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Arusha-Tarangire National Park
Depart from Arusha in the morning and begin the drive through a changing landscape to Tarangire National Park for morning and afternoon game drives in the scenic landscape dominated by the iconic baobab trees, you get to see large herds of elephants.
The evening, you will drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Tarangire-Esilalei Maasai Community
Have an early morning game drive then leave the park with a game drive en-drive and head to the Maasai Community of Esilalei, meet with your local Maasai guide who will introduce you to his village. In this community, you will get a better understanding of the natural medicines which is still used on a daily basis with a Maasai medicine walk of the surrounding area.
Then continue down to a Boma (mud dwelling) for an introduction into the Maasai way of life, beliefs and rituals. Freshen up and enjoy a real cultural experience around the fire place with traditional songs and dance.

Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast depart towards Lake Manyara National Park for game drives in this very diverse park, if you are lucky you may see the famous and rare tree climbing lions. Picnic lunch in the bush followed by game drives until mid-afternoon, then slowly make your way out of the park and return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Lake Manyara-Serengeti National Park
Wake up early to the calls with bird chorus, after breakfast you will head to Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Game drive en-route to Central Serengeti- explore the many different areas of the park and enjoy sightings of different animals including lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, gazelles, giraffes among others.
Day 7: Full Day In Serengeti National Park
A full day game drive in Serengeti National Park, head over to the Rock Kopjes where you will have a good chances of seeing some of the cat families including cheetah and lions, these use this giant rock out as observation posts.
Early morning heading out for a balloon flight and enjoy aerial views of the Serengeti Plains from hot air balloon followed by champagne breakfast on the landing site.

Day 8: Serengeti-Ngorongoro
After breakfast, head out for game drive en-route out of the Serengeti heading back through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Continue to the crater rim and onto the NCAA Headquarters where you will get a ranger who will accompany you on a nature walk of the crater rim. Late afternoon, head to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater
Early morning descend into the crater for game drives, the Ngorongoro crater hosts over 25,000 large mammals residing in the parks including lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, gazelles, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes among others. You will also see the rare black rhinos.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Ngorongoro-Arusha
After breakfast at the lodge, begin the drive towards Arusha where you will be dropped off at Arusha Airport for your flight connecting you to your next safari or beach destination or drop off at Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight connection back home.
