On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide and after a short briefing set off to the Tarangire National Park. The park’s vast tree-dotted savannah, with its majestic baobab trees and seasonal marshlands, is home to the largest elephant herds in northern Tanzania. Alongside these magnificent elephants, you are also likely to encounter graceful giraffes, powerful buffaloes, lions, zebras, wildebeests, and a variety of antelopes and gazelles.
Upon arriving at the park, your guide will open the vehicle’s roof for a panoramic view, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the vibrant wildlife around you. A scenic picnic spot will serve as the perfect setting for lunch before you continue exploring the park’s breathtaking landscapes in the afternoon. By late afternoon, you will reach your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast you will drive towards the fertile crater highlands where the Iraqw people grow wheat, corn and coffee. Along the way you will pass the Ngorongoro Crater before you reach the plains of the Serengeti National Park around midday.
The Serengeti is the largest park in Tanzania and has a diversity of habitats and landscapes including short grass plains, savannah, thick bush, swamps, mountains and lakes. Kopjes dot the grassy landscapes where predators are often seen. Depending on the season you will witness the migration of thousands of animals which Serengeti is famous for. During the short rainy season in November and December the herds move from the hills in the north to the plains in the south.
During the rainy season from April to June they return up north. This circle of life is completely dependent on the yearly rainfalls and the locations of the herds may vary from year to year, but your guide will know where to find the animals and where to see them best.
