Detailed itinerary of 5 Day Tanzania Safari
Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park (120 km, 2 hours)
Our guide will pick you up from Arusha town and drive to Tarangire National Park for game viewing. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant population and thriving herds of wildebeests and zebras. Other animals you will see include impalas, giraffes, elands, buffaloes, gazelles, and bot greater and lesser kudu. Lions and leopards are also frequently sighted here.
After your game drive, you will head to your reserved accommodation for dinner and overnights stay.
Overnight at Baobab Tree Lodge
Day 2: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park (280 km, 6 hours)
Enjoy an early breakfast, then depart for the famous Serengeti National Park, this vast ecosystem offers some of Africa’s most iconic wildlife experience, where you will have a chance to see buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, and diverse antelope species. Later continue to your already reserved accommodation inside the park for dinner and overnight.
Overnight at Acacia Central Camp
Day 3: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park
Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti’s rolling plains, be on a lookout for large predators like lions, cheetahs, wildebeests, gazelles, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes, gazelles, giraffes among other wildlife species as well as birds. Enjoy an immersive safari experience before returning to your camp.
Overnight at Acacia Central Camp
Day 4: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater – Karatu (170 km, 4 hours)
After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day Crater Tour. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest unfilled caldera and a haven for around 20,000 mammals including endangered black rhinos, and has one of the highest carnivore densities globally, featuring lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and jackals.
You will conclude the day with a drive to your reserve lodge in Karatu.
Overnight at The Castle at Ngorongoro
Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park – Return to Arusha
Enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park famously known for its tree-climbing lions, hippos and large concentration of pink flamingoes on the shores of Lake Manyara and striking landscape within the Great Rift Valley. After your visit and amazing experience, you will return to Arusha where you will be dropped off either at the hotel or at Kilimanjaro International Airport, bring your Tanzania Safari to an end.
