DETAILED ITINERARY OF 3 DAYS UGANDA GORILLA & RWANDA GOLDEN MONKEY TREKKING SAFARI
Day 1: Rwanda city Tour and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
You will be picked from Kigali International airport upon arrival or from your hotel in Kigali city at 08:30 am and go for a city tour visiting Kimironko Market and the genocide memorial site where you will witness the remains of the horrific Rwanda genocide of 1994.
Have lunch and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park through Katuna – Border arriving in the evening, check into your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: Uganda gorilla trekking and transfer to Musanze
You will enjoy early morning breakfast and transfer to the park’s headquarters with your packed lunch and bottled drinking water for briefing at the park’s headquarters, you will be taken through the rules and regulations to follow during gorilla trekking.
You will also be assigned a gorilla group to trek, then hike into the forests of Bwindi looking for mountain gorillas, the trek takes approximately 4-7 hours depending on the movement of mountain gorillas and the gorilla family you are trekking.
When you locate the gorillas, you will stay only one hour in their presence while observing their human like behavior and characters, you are also allowed to take pictures as long as your flash light is off.
Trek back to your park’s headquarters to pick your permits then transfer to Musanze through Cyanika Border arriving in the evening. Have dinner and stay overnight at Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge.
Day 3: golden monkey trekking – Departure
Have early breakfast and drive to Volcanoes national park’s headquarters for briefing about golden monkey trekking, rangers will take you through the rules and regulations to follow then hike into the forest looking for golden monkeys.
The trek takes about 3 to 5 hours with 1 one of staying in presence of the golden monkeys while watching them play on tree branches and picking bamboo shoots. You will return to your lodge for lunch and freshening up and lunch, check out and drive back to Kigali for a drop off at the airport for your departure flight back home.
