Detailed itinerary of 5 Days Queen Elizabeth & Bwindi Safari
Day 1: Kampala – Queen Elizabeth National Park
Depart from Kampala as early as 08:00 am and head towards western Uganda for Queen Elizabeth National Park located in the foothills of the Mountains of the moon. Rwenzori Mountains is one of the great mountain ranges of the world in western Uganda.
Along the way you will enjoy amazing views, arrive in time for lunch at your lodge after check-in. In the afternoon, you will go for an afternoon game drive on which you may see different animals like elephats, buffaloes, lions, Uganda kobs and many beautiful birds. Queen Elizabeth National Park is home to roughly 100 mammals and 606 bird species.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kyambura Gorge
Wake up for breakfast and head to Kyambura Gorge for chimpanzee trekking. Chimpanzees in Kyambura are ever moving and elusive so seeing them is unpredictable. The walk is wonderful given the features of the forest, you are allowed to spend one hour with these chimpanzees watching them go on with their life in the forest.
Return to the lodge for lunch, in the afternoon we will take a launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This beautiful channel connecting Lake Edward to Lake Gorge is blessed with many hippos, solitary buffaloes, vast array of water birds which you will see as cruise. With a game drive you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Wake up early and head to the Kasenyi Plains for an early morning game drive, the experience gives you an opportunity to see early risers and predators as they return from their hunting sprees. Return to the lodge for a late delicious breakfast, then checkout of the lodge and embark on a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park where you might get a chance and see the rare tree climbing lions.
Along the way, you will have en-route lunch. Arrive in the park in the evening, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
Wake up early in the morning, have an early breakfast, then proceed to the park headquarters for briefing by the guides. You will then set off for your gorilla tracking activity in the forests of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Gorilla trekking can be strenuous, you will need to carry packed lunch, drinking water, wear comfortable boots or jungle shoes suitable for steep muddy slopes. For those uncomfortable with jungle sounds, put on ear plugs and remember to take a rain jacket and walking stick. When you finally locate the gorilla family you are looking for, you will spend one hour in their presence, watching them groom, feed and play.
After the 1 hour elapses, trek back to the park headquarters, meet your guide and return to the lodge for an afternoon of relaxation. You can go for a visit to Batwa Community or use the evening for rest.

Day 5: Drive Back to Kampala
This is the last day of this Uganda Safari. After an early breakfast at the lodge, we depart for Kampala with en-route lunch. We reach Kampala in the evening where you will be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport.
