7 Days Kenya safari tour

Part One of this 7 Days Kenya safari tour is a group safari to Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru Parks, With a minimum of 3 people this will be a full private safari. Part Two is a private safari to Lake Naivasha National Park/ Hell’s Gate National Park and Samburu National Park.

Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve

At 7:30 am you will be picked up from your Nairobi hotel and commence the drive to Masai Mara via the great rift valley view point where you will have a breathtaking view of the floor of the rift valley. Lunch will be at a Travelers Hotel on the way. Arrive in the afternoon and check inn.

In the afternoon set out for a Kenya safari in the Mara Mara National Reserve. Return back after sunset for a sumptuous buffet dinner ending with good time for resting at Miti Mingi Eco camp. These are big tents that have toilet, Bathroom, hot water, Bed and linen. Electricity is available from 6 to 10:30pm to be able to charge your phone and Camera.

Masai Mara Reserve is the most popular tourism destination in Kenya. Located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland. Wildlife is most concentrated on the reserve’s western escarpment. Its regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife Viewing areas. The annual wildebeest migration alone involves over 1.5 million ungulates arriving in July and departing at the end of October. Hardly can a visitor miss to spot the big five animals of Africa (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino) in the Mara.

Day 2: Full Day Kenya Safari in Masai Mara Reserve

On the 3rd day of your 7 Days Kenya safari tour, Spend the full day on a Kenya safari in Masai Mara discovering the reserves animals and many bird species. More than 550 bird species have been recorded in the Masai Mara You will have picnic lunch by the banks of the Mara River. The river has many resident Nile crocodiles and hippos.

Day 3: Depart Maasai Mara to Nakuru National Park

You will enjoy the last Kenya safari in Mara Reserve followed by breakfast. Thereafter commence the drive to Lake Nakuru. Lake Nakuru National Park is one of Kenya’s 23 National Parks and one of two in the Premium category, along with Amboseli National Park. It’s found in Central Kenya, about 91 miles northwest of Nairobi, in the Nakuru district of the Rift Valley Province. The ecosystem is comprises the lake itself, surrounded by wooded and bushy grasslands. The park supports a wide ecological diversity including Flamingos (both Lesser and Greater) and other water birds, and the Black and White Rhinoceros which are the major attractions of the area.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha/Hell’s Gate

This is a private safari as no group to Naivasha and Samburu. You will have an early breakfast and depart by 7am to Lake Naivasha National Park. It’s a small park with magnificent, rare white rhinos which form part of the Big five animals. There is also a possibility to see the pink flamingos. The game drive lasts 3 hours, after which you depart on a 1-hour drive back to Naivasha to arrive in time for lunch at Dove Nest Lodge.

After lunch, you will go to Hell’s Gate National Park for biking safari. If you are too tired you will be driven in the park with a car. You will later go for an hour boat ride on Lake Naivasha for bird watching and hippo viewing. overnight at at Dove Nest Lodge.

Hell’s Gate National Park is named for the intense geothermal activity within its boundaries, the Hell’s Gate National Park is a remarkable quarter of the Great Rift Valley. Spectacular scenery including the towering cliffs, gorges, stark rock towers, obsidian caves and belching plumes of geothermal steam make it one of the most atmospheric Parks in Africa. The park also protects a wide variety of animals, including leopards, eland, ostrich, gazelle and more than 100 species of birds.

Day 5: Lake Naivasha to Samburu National Reserve

On the 5th day of your 7 Days Kenya safari tour, Breakfast at at 7 am, depart Samburu located in the Northern Kenya. Have lunch on the way to arrive Samburu National Reserve in time for an evening Kenya safari in the park. Samburu is famous for its truly wild semi-arid landscape, and the large concentration of wild animals and bird-life. Together with the adjoining Shaba and Buffalo Springs national reserves, Samburu is popular for hosting the rare Northern-Kenya animal species (Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, Somali Ostrich and Beisa Oryx) which are not found in the other parks and reserves in the country.

It is also home to all the African big cats (lion, cheetah and leopard), alongside other big game including elephants, buffaloes, warthogs and water-buck. The park is also host to more than 550 bird species including kingfishers, red-billed horn bill, and tawny eagle. The unique culture of The Samburu tribe who live in the region is the icing on the cake for the amazing Samburu National Reserve. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge.

Day 6: Full Day in Samburu National Reserve

Early morning Kenya safari in the reserve. Later, return to the lodge for breakfast. Rest of the mid-morning at relaxation. After lunch, proceed for an afternoon Kenya safari till dusk. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge.

Day 7: Samburu National Reserve to Nairobi

Early morning Kenya safari in the reserve. Later, return to the camp for breakfast and thereafter drive back to Nairobi with lunch on the way. Drop off at your Nairobi hotel or place of residence.
