Detailed itinerary of 8 Days Great Migration Safari
Days 1 – 2: Nairobi
On arrival in Nairobi – the capital of Kenya, our guide will welcome and after a short briefing you will be transferred to your hotel in Nairobi. You will have a very relaxing and comfortable stay in the best part of two, refreshed and ready to continue your onward journey. You will have time to explore various sites in Nairobi such as Nairobi National Park where you can have a game drive and enjoy sights of various animals such as zebras, lions, leopards, giraffes among others. Other sites include The Giraffe Center where you can feed to giraffes and The Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage.

Days 2 – 5: Maasai Mara
Spend three nights in the Maasai Mara.
Spend your time exploring the world famous Maasai Mara National Reserve with morning and afternoon gam drives, during the migration, watch as thousands of wildebeest thunder across the plains and across river creating not just an incredible sight but an awe-inspiring sound.
Your guides and trackers will drive you daily into the reserve and position you at the best vantage points for the infamous river crossings and thrilling wildlife action.
You can take an optional hot air balloon safari adding an extra special element to your safari with a stunning, scenic flight over the Maasai Mara to really appreciate its scale and gain a unique bird’s eye view of the game below.
Accommodation Options
Sala’s Camp – Nestled in the Maasai Mara National Reserve but in a very remote southern – central corner of the reserve on the tranquil banks of the Sand River. The lodge boasts the most private of safari experiences within the reserve’s borders.
Governor’s II Moran Camp – perched right on the Mara River in the heart of Maasai Mara National Reserve with just ten very spacious safari tents upping the exclusivity and privacy compared to other camps in the Mara.

Days 5-7: Mara Conservancies

The Mara conservancies surrounding the Masai Mara National Reserve offer visitors the ultimate safari, have the lowest tourist densities, incredible day and night game viewing, walking safaris and authentic cultural interactions. Above all, these conservancies are managed according to a model that protects the delicate ecosystem and benefits the landowners themselves – the Maasai people.

Angama Mara – towering high on the Rift Valley’s Oloololo Escarpment with direct and private access to the Mara Triangle, this lodge’s name was inspired by the Swahili word for suspended in mid – air. Day 8 Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip and fly back to Wilson Airport where you will be picked up by our guide and be transferred to the international airport for your international airport back to home.
