Day 1: Arrival at Kigali International Airport
On arrival at Kigali international airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative who will give a short briefing about the safari then proceed to Akagera national park arriving in the evening. Check into your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Game viewing and boat ride
On the 2nd day of your 5 Days Rwanda Gorilla Safari , Have early breakfast and head to the park for an early morning game drive offering you an opportunity to spot a variety of wild animals such as elephants, buffaloes, lions, Masai giraffe, gazelles, impala, baboons, oribi, Butchel’s zebra, topi, bush baby, leopard and bushbuck among others. Return to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon you will head out for a boat trip along Lake Ihema where you will hav a closer look on water animals like hippos and crocodiles and over 525 species of water birds including the shoe billed stocks, papyrus gonolek and endemics like Jacanas, Ibis, sand pipers and herons. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Volcanoes national park
After breakfast, you will return to Kigali then connect to Volcanoes national park “Parc National des Volcans (PNV)” in the North for mountain gorilla tracking which is the highlight of this safari.
Arrive in the park in time for lunch and in afternoon you will go for a walk in the nearby forests or crater lakes for scenic viewing, bird watching and photography. Return for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: gorilla tracking
Wake up early for breakfast and head to the park’s headquarters in Kinigi for briefing about the dos and donts for gorilla trekking, you will join other trekkers in groups of 8 people and with armed rangers and guides you will enter into the jungle in search for mountain gorillas. You will hike on slippery and muddy volcanoes in search for mountain gorillas which will take about 4-6 hours. When you find the gorillas, you will spend 1 hours in the presence of the gorillas while watching them as they go on with their lives and take pictures of them.
Return to the park’s headquarters to be rewarded with gorilla certificates then head back to your lodge, in the evening you will have a visit to the scenic twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Have a leisure breakfast and drive back to Kigali for a drop off at the hotel or at the airport for your departure flight back home.
