DETAILED ITINERARY OF 8 DAYS GREAT WILDEBEEST CALVING MIGRATION SAFARI
Day 1: Arrival
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and after a short briefing about the safari you will be taken to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be picked up by our guide and proceed to Tarangire national park. The beautiful Tarangire is one of the largest national park and great Tanzania safari destination in Tanzania located in Manyara region, the park is home to large herds of elephants and other animals such as tree climbing lions, zebras, buffaloes among others. The landscape of the park is dotted with the iconic Baobab Trees called the Tree of Life, there is Tarangire River which flows through the park and is the only source of water for wildlife animals most especially the dry seasons.
Arrive in the park in time for lunch which you will enjoy after check into the lodge, in the afternoon you will go for a game drive. Expect to see large herds of elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and drive to Lake Manyara National Park containing Lake Manyara covering two thirds of the park, the park was crowned “the loveliest I had seen in Africa” by Ernest Hemingway.
Lake Manyara National Park is renowned for tree climbing lions and over 400 species of birds including thousands of pink-hued flamingos, pelicans, cormorants and storks among others.
When you arrive in the park, you will embark on a game drive enjoying sights of hippo, giraffes, impalas, zebra and tree climbing lions among others and many birds. In the evening you will head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park (Ndutu Area)
After breakfast, you will transfer to Serengeti National Park’s Ndutu Area situated in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and is part of the South Serengeti Eco-System, Lake Ndutu is one of the rift lakes with alkaline water and its water is still drinkable and is consumed by the wildlife in the area.
You will have picnic lunch and spend the whole on a game drive in the Ndutu Area, majority of the wildebeest migration is found in the area from December to April, also the area is home to large herds of elephants and other animals. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park (Ndutu Area) – Serengeti National Park (Seronera)
After breakfast, you will head to Ndutu area for a full day game drive exploring the wide range of habitats such as swamps, woodland, the short grass plains and soda lakes. During the game drive you will see herds of wildebeests and zebras as they give birth to calves.
In the afternoon, you will head to the Seronera region of Serengeti National Park. In the evening, you will check into your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park (Seronera)
After breakfast, you will head to the Seronera Area for a full day game drive of tracking the Great Migration, the game drives will provide you with interesting facts about the migration. You will spend the whole days enjoying sights of newly born calves and predators’ action with excellent sights of lions, leopards, cheetahs among other animals.
In the evening, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater
Have early breakfast and drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will descend 600 meters down into the crater for a game drive and enjoy sights of many animals. The crater is home to many animals such as zebras, buffaloes, elands, warthogs, hippos, elephants among others.
Ngorongoro Crater for its dense population of predators such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the elusive leopards which you will enjoy spotting. At the corner of the crater, you will visit Lake Magadi hosting large numbers of flamingoes, hippos and other water birds. In the evening, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Mto Wa Mbu – Arusha
After breakfast, you will drive to Mto Wa Mbu for a morning cultural tour and a walking safari, the visit will offer a deeper insight into the life of the local Maasai people, be entertained by local dances and drama, learn how to prepare local meals among others. After lunch, you will transfer to Arusha City for a drop-off at the hotel or at airport for your flight back home.
