3 Day Queen Elizabeth Uganda Safari : This 3 days Uganda safari takes on a tour to Uganda’s most visited National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park found in Western region of Uganda approximately 376 kilometers from Kampala – the capital of Uganda.

Queen Elizabeth National Park covers an area of 1,978 square kilometers hosting various ecosystems such as the dazzling lakes, Kazinga channel, extensive savannah, humid forests and lush wetlands. The park is home to about 100 mammal species and about 606 bird species, there are 4 of the Big Five “lions, leopards, cape buffaloes and elephants”, hippos, crocodiles and antelopes which you will see during game drives and boat cruise.

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport or after breakfast at your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe, you will be met by a representative of Explore Eco Safaris, your guide will brief you about the Uganda safari and them embark on the 6 hours journey to Queen Elizabeth National park with a few stopovers at the Equator, here you will take enough photos and in Mbarara for lunch.

The proceed to the park as you drive through the spectacular landscape characterized with open grasslands, tea plantations and the Rift Valley Escarpment and various woodlands. You will arrive in the park in late afternoon, have a game drive as you head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: morning game drive and afternoon game drive along the Kazinga Channel

After a cup of coffee, you will head to the park an early morning game drive on different trails in the park including the Kasenyi trail. Along the trail you will have a great opportunity of seeing various animals like waterbucks, buffaloes, lions, warthogs, elephants among others and many birds.  You will return to the lodge for late breakfast, rest for a while as you wait for lunch. In the afternoon you will head back to the park for a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel that connect Lake George and Lake Edward, the boat ride lasts for 2 – 3 hours and while on the boat you will see many animals like hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, warthogs, elephants, kobs drinking and playing in waters along the channel and many birds like the malachite, kingfishers, pink backed pelicans on the banks and in the trees. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: morning game drive and departure

After breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and with en-route game drive you will bid farewell to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way you will have lunch and a stopover at Mpambire drum center where you will see how drums are made by the locals and buy some souvenirs and proceed to Kampala, you will be dropped off either at the hotel or at the airport for your departure flight back home.
