Detailed itinerary of 5 days Game viewing and Gorilla Trek safari
Day 1: Kampala-Kibale National Park
After breakfast at your hotel or upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be picked up by your safari driver guide and embark on a journey to Kibale forest national park – a home to largest population of chimpanzees in East Africa. You will arrive in time for lunch which you will have after checking into your lodge
In the afternoon you will go for a guided walk through the crater lakes region where you will enjoy scenic views of the crater lakes and also encounter local people. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Kibale Chimpanzee Trekking -Queen Elizabeth
Have early breakfast and head to the park’s headquarters for briefing about chimpanzee tracking, a ranger will take you through rules and regulations to follow during the trekking experience and how to behave when you encounter the chimpanzees.
With the help of a game ranger you will trek through the forests of Kibale looking for chimpanzees and you will spot other primates living in the forest such as the Red-tailed, Grey cheeked Mangabeys and Colobus monkeys among others. When you encounter the chimpanzees, you will be amazed by their playfulness and take pictures.
Return to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon head on a journey to Queen Elizabeth national park, when you arrive , you will go for a 2 hours boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. During the boat cruise you will encounter hippos, buffaloes, warthogs, elephants and many water birds such as herons, secretary birds among others. After the experience you will head to your lodge, check in, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: Queen Elizabeth-Bwindi
Have early breakfast and head to the park for an early morning game drive along the Kasenyi track and Queens Miles where you will be able to see elephnats, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, lions, waterbucks and many bird species. After lunch, you will embark on a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable national park with a drive through the the Ishasha Sector which is dominated by savannah grass, acacia and huge fig tree, in the Ishasha sector you will spot tree climbing lions resting on fig trees. When you arrive in Bwindi, you will check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking
Have early breakfast and head to the park’s headquarters for briefing by 08:00 am for briefing by the ranger guides, the rangers will take you through the rules and regulations to follow during the trekking. With your packed lunch, you will hike into the Bwindi forests looking for mountain gorillas, the trek takes about 2-6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent the previous night. When you encounter the gorillas you will stay in their presence for one hour while observing the behavior of the gorillas and taking pictures as long as your flash light is off.
After 1 hour, you will trek back to the park’s headquarters and then go for a Buhoma community walk on which you will encounter the local pygmy people and enjoy their local way of lifestyle. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Bwindi-Kampala to Entebbe
Have breakfast and embark on a journey to back to Kampala with a stopover in Mbarara for lunch and at the Igongo Cultural center where you will encounter the lifestyle of the Ankole people, you will also have a stopover at the Equator for pictures. When you reach Kampala you will be dropped off at the airport for your departure flight.
