3 days Chimpanzee tracking safari takes you on a Uganda primate safari to Kibale Forest national park – a primate capital in East Africa for an amazing and rewarding experience of chimpanzee trekking. This safari offers you an opportunity to explore jungles, swamps as well as grasslands around the forest, you will also do a 30 minutes forest walk in Kibale forests encountering different tree species, birds and butterflies.

Detailed itinerary of 3 days chimpanzee tracking safari
Day 1: transfer to Kibale Forest
After early breakfast at your hotel or on arrival at Entebbe International airport, you will be picked up by your safari driver guide and embark on a journey to Kibale Forest national park in western Uganda, during the journey you will enjoy the gorgeous country side and local homesteads, tea farms and banana plantations.
Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge and in the afternoon your will go for a Bigodi village walk, on this walk you will escorted by the local guide who is very knowledgeable about the village about the community and the different people inhabited there. During the village walk, you will visit the churches, be entertained by local dances and drama, enjoy he village lifestyle of the local people among others. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: chimpanzee tracking adventure in Kibale Forest
Enjoy morning breakfast and head to the park’s headquarters by 08:00 am for briefing at the park’s headquarters about chimpanzee tracking experience, a ranger will take you through the rules and regulations to follow during the tracking experience and how to behave while in the presence of the chimpanzees.
Trek into the forests of Kibale looking for chimpanzees, the trek is headed by an experienced ranger who knows where to find the chimpanzees and when you encounter you will be given one hour of being in their presence while taking pictures and observing their behavior as they play on tree tops.
You will then trek back to the park’s headquarters and then to your lodge for lunch, in the afternoon our will go a Bigodi Swamp walk. Bigodi Swamp is a popular destination for nature walk and during the walk you will spot the shoebill, sitatunga antelopes and other primates such as chimpanzees among others. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
